An 1875 Florence portfolio by Emilio De Fabris presenting drawings for the unbuilt facade of Santa Maria del Fiore, issued for the commission and architects judging the cathedral's completion. The plates are measured elevations, half-facades and cross sections in fine outline and pale tint, giving designers Gothic gables, rose windows, pinnacles, arcaded tabernacles and symmetrical bay structures drawn without shading.
