Lamb's textile industry of the United States, embracing biographical sketches of prominment men and a historical résumé of the progress of textile manufacture from the earliest records to the present time;
A two-volume trade history of American textile manufacturing published by the James H. Lamb Company in Boston in 1916, compiled by John Howard Brown with E. Everton Foster and Edith Mary Norris, and sold to mill owners, industrialists and their associates. The plates are engraved bust portraits of businessmen in dark suits, worked in fine stipple and cross-hatched line that fades into blank vignette edges, useful for period faces, whiskers and collars, and for ready-made oval halo backgrounds.
