Langley memoir on mechanical flight : pt. 1-
A Smithsonian Contributions to Knowledge volume of 1911, completed by Charles Manly from Samuel Pierpont Langley's notes, documenting the aerodrome flight experiments for engineers and scientific readers. Halftone photographs show tandem-winged model aircraft on launch rails, in workshops and over water, some overprinted with letter keys and measuring scales, useful for wing-truss silhouettes, propeller shapes, and grainy monochrome plate textures.
