La photographie de l'invisible : les rayons X suivi d'un glossaire
A French popular-science account of Röntgen's X-rays, written by L. Aubert and published in Paris by Reinwald/Schleicher Frères in 1898 for general readers and physicians, with a glossary. The 23 plates are early radiographs — hands, ribcages, a displaced wrist bone — grainy halftones of pale bone against smoky grey, useful for skeletal silhouettes, soft tonal gradients and scientific-photograph texture.
