Louis Savot's treatise on French domestic building, printed in Paris in 1642 for builders, owners and lawyers dealing with house construction and party-wall rules. Illustration consists of pen-drawn marginal diagrams — a plan of walls lettered A–D, a circle divided by ruled chords, hatched wall sections — plus a woodcut initial I inside laurel branches and French letterpress.
