L'architettura
Cosimo Bartoli's Italian version of Leon Battista Alberti's treatises on building and painting, printed by Lionardo Torrentino at Mondovì in 1565 for architects, patrons and humanist readers. The woodcuts are line diagrams of temple plans, half-sections and elevations, with hatched wall poché, niched perimeters, fluted columns and Corinthian capitals, plus broken-edge profile studies useful as clean architectural linework and geometric pattern.
