A French connoisseur's handbook by Émile Bayard, published in Paris by Garnier in 1912, teaching collectors and decorators to identify Régence and Louis XV styles. Halftone photographs and engraved plates show carved mirror frames, panelled boiserie, acanthus mounts, escutcheons and furniture details, giving designers isolated rococo scrollwork, cartouches and border motifs on plain grey grounds that cut out cleanly.
