A French treatise on garden and park design by Baron Alfred Ernouf with Adolphe Alphand, published in Paris by J. Rothschild in 1886 for landscape architects and municipal planners. The plates are engraved ground plans, bird's-eye views and planting diagrams, with dense stipple and hatching for tree masses, water and parterres, plus sections and ornamental detail useful as pattern and texture.
