L'Art et les moeurs en France
A volume of public lectures from the École des hautes études sociales in Paris, published by Renouard in 1909 with Raymond Bouyer among the contributors, tracing French art alongside social manners for adult students and general readers. The 41 plates are halftones of French prints, paintings and crayon lithographs: tavern and family interiors, street crowds around a fairground barker, carts and travellers, with soft grey tonal washes and loose caricature line usable as period crowd and costume reference.
