A practical dyeing manual by Max Singer, published in Paris in 1875 for dyers and textile manufacturers, with mounted samples of dyed yarn and cloth. The plates are tipped-in skeins and swatches photographed flat within ruled borders, giving saturated aniline blues, scarlets and magentas with loose stray threads and stained paper edges useful as colour references and texture fills.
