Le belle arti
Le belle arti is a verse treatise on the fine arts by Leopoldo Cicognara, printed at Ferrara in 1790 by the heirs of Giuseppe Rinaldi for Italian readers of neoclassical taste. Small engraved head- and tailpiece vignettes show putti flanking oval cameo medallions, trophies of lyres, trumpets and torches, and oak and laurel sprays tied with ribbon, all on finely hatched grounds.
