An account of the Accademia del Disegno's prize ceremony held on the Capitoline in April 1703 under the painter Carlo Maratti, written by the academy secretary Giuseppe Ghezzi and printed in Rome by Luca Antonio Chracas for academy members and Roman patrons. The plates are letterpress ornaments: small woodcut initials boxed in acanthus foliage and symmetrical tailpieces of paired scrolls with grape clusters, heavily hatched and usable as compact black-and-white spot decoration or drop caps.
