Lectures on astronomical theories by John Harris, printed in Montreal by Lovell Printing and Publishing in 1876 as a lay-audience exposition of planetary motion. The plates are fine-line engraved diagrams: rayed star-bursts for the sun, thin circular and looping orbits with lettered points and italic labels, useful as sparse geometric line art and decorative compass-rose motifs.
