Lectures on the rise and development of mediæval architecture
Sir George Gilbert Scott's posthumous lectures on medieval and Gothic architecture, published by John Murray in London in 1879 for architects and students of the Gothic revival. The 147 line engravings and pen sketches record arcades, window tracery, foliate capitals, mouldings and base profiles in outline and hatching, giving designers clean drawn ornament and measured architectural elevations.
