Le filet-Richelieu
A pattern album of filet-Richelieu lace published by Thérèse de Dillmont in Mulhouse in the late nineteenth century, made for women working embroidery and net darning at home. Plates show squares, borders and corner units in white thread on black net grids: geometric flowers, leaves, scrolls and lattice fills that read as high-contrast halftone-proof ornament for tiling and edging.
