Le Nu au salon
An annual illustrated survey of nudes shown at the Paris Salons, written by Armand Silvestre and published by E. Bernard & Cie in 1888 for French art buyers and exhibition-goers. Line drawings after exhibited paintings and sculpture show seated and reclining women with drapery, shells, trees and shoreline, offering clean contour figure studies and loose hatched shading for cut-out use.
