A two-volume French guide to paintings and sculpture held in the churches, abbeys and private cabinets of the Austrian Netherlands, written by the Brussels painter Guillaume Pierre Mensaert and printed by P. de Bast in 1763 for collectors and travelling amateurs. The plates indexed here are letterpress ornaments rather than views: rococo cartouche tailpieces, strapwork and foliate scroll fleurons, a six-pointed star built from cast rules, and a long border strip of interlaced knots, all usable as rules, dividers and spot ornaments.
