Le peintre-graveur illustré : (xix et xx siècles)
Volume of Loys Delteil's catalogue raisonné of nineteenth- and twentieth-century printmakers, self-published in Paris from 1906 for collectors, dealers and curators, reproducing each artist's etchings and lithographs in numbered sequence. The plates here are Meryon-style Paris views: Gothic towers, quays, river arches and tenement walls built from dense hatching, with small figures and high-contrast skies useful for texture and silhouette work.
