Le pitture e sculture di Brescia che sono esposte al pubblico : con un'appendice di alcune private gallerie
A 1760 Brescian guide by Giovanni Battista Carboni, printed by Giambatista Bossini, listing the paintings and sculptures visible in the city's churches and public buildings, with an appendix on private galleries, addressed to travellers and local connoisseurs. The etched ornaments, largely by Giovanni Battista Rodella, include headpieces of crumbling town walls and towers with small figures, tailpieces piling up armour, cannon, shells and globes, and historiated initials seating helmeted allegorical women against columns — usable as small vignettes, rule-width borders and decorative capitals.
