Le poinct de France et les centres dentelliers au XVIIe et au XVIIIe siècles; ouvrage orné de quarante-trois illustrations
A French study of point de France needle lace and the royal lace-making centres of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, written by Laurence de Laprade with Henry Lapauze and published in Paris by L. Laveur in 1905 for collectors, curators and lace historians. The forty-three plates are photographs of lace pieces against black grounds, showing crowned cyphers, fleurs-de-lis, birds, scrolling flowers and hexagonal mesh fills, plus diagrammed border samples numbered as figures; usable as white-on-black ornament, repeating scallop edges and dense textile texture.
