A French edition of Vincenzo Scamozzi's treatise on the five classical orders, drawn from the sixth book of his Idea della architettura universale and issued in Paris in 1685 by Jean Baptiste Coignard with notes by Augustin-Charles d'Aviler, for architects and builders. The plates are copperplate elevations and plans of columns, arcades, doorways and entablatures, engraved in fine line with modular dimension figures and scale bars, useful for column profiles, ornament details and measured-drawing layouts.
