Les fables égyptiennes et grecques : dévoilées & réduites au même principe, avec une explication des hiéroglyphes, et de la guerre de Troye
Antoine-Joseph Pernety's two-volume alchemical reading of Egyptian and Greek myth, printed by Delalain in Paris in 1786 for learned readers of hermetic and mythographic literature. The plates here are typographic furniture rather than scenes: woodcut flower sprays, a headpiece of putti carrying a garland toward an urn, and rules built from repeated leaf and dash sorts.
