A self-published three-volume account of persecution by imps and demons, written and issued by Alexis-Vincent-Charles Berbiguier in Paris in 1821 and read as both occult testimony and a case of delusion. The images pair orange-and-blue marbled endpapers with lithographic scenes of a uniformed figure confronting an apparition, giving designers dense abstract paper patterns and stark hatched night interiors.
