Les marbriers romains et le mobilier presbytéral
A French study by Gustave Clausse, published in Paris by E. Leroux in 1897, on the medieval Roman marble workers and the furnishings of the sanctuary, written for architects, archaeologists and church historians. Pen-and-ink line drawings record ambos, ciboria, thrones and portals in elevation and perspective, with close studies of Cosmatesque mosaic inlay, twisted colonnettes, Corinthian capitals and carved inscriptions usable as geometric pattern sources.
