A collected edition of Jean Belot's occult treatises on palmistry, physiognomy, divination, dreams, Lullian memory art and steganography, printed at Rouen by J. Besongne in 1662 for readers of practical occult manuals. The 52 plates pair diagrammatic woodcuts of hands, faces and planetary signs with a set of small foliate initials — letters wrapped in acanthus, leafy branches and paired fish — usable as drop caps, spot ornaments or line-art source for astrological and chiromantic symbols.
