A lace and cutwork pattern book by the Venetian pattern-maker Federico de Vinciolo, issued at Turin in 1589 for needleworkers copying reticella, filet and darned-net designs. The plates are woodcut grids in which filled and empty squares build borders, rosettes, animals and geometric medallions, giving designers ready-made modular repeats, counted-thread motifs and coarse black-and-cream texture at legible pixel scale.
