Letters concerning the Spanish nation: written at Madrid during the years 1760 and 1761
Edward Clarke's collected letters on Spanish antiquities, manuscripts and customs, written from Madrid in 1760-61 and printed in London in 1763 for British readers of learned travel accounts. Copperplate antiquarian plates group coins, Punic and Egyptian inscriptions, a mummy case, a many-breasted Diana and a lyre-playing sphinx as numbered figures, alongside a dedication coat of arms and cast foliate headpieces.
