Lettres sur l'Italie : faisant suite aux Lettres sur la Morée, l'Hellespont et Constantinople
Illustrated travel letters on Italy by the French painter-engraver Antoine Laurent Castellan, published in Paris by A. Nepveu in 1819 as a sequel to his letters on Greece and Constantinople, addressed to armchair travellers and antiquarians. The etched plates give thin-line outline landscapes: hillside towns above water, ivy-covered brick ruins with goats, arcaded villas, quays with small figures, and a single palm.
