Library advertising; "publicity" methods for public libraries, library-work with children, rural library schemes, &c., with a chapter on the cinema and library
A 1921 professional manual by Walter Alwyn Briscoe, issued in London and New York, instructing public librarians in advertising, children's work, rural schemes and cinema tie-ins. Its plates reproduce slide notices and publicity posters set in bold letterpress inside heavy ruled circles, alongside vertical panel advertisements and small comic woodcuts of readers perched on stacks of books.
