Life and work at the Great Pyramid during the months of January, February, March, and April, A.D. 1865 : with a discussion of the facts ascertained
A three-volume survey report by Scottish Astronomer Royal Charles Piazzi Smyth, published in Edinburgh in 1867, recording his measurements of the Great Pyramid for astronomers, antiquarians and fellow pyramid theorists. The plates are engraved line diagrams: sectional profiles of the pyramid crossed by long sight-lines to the pole star, labelled chambers and passages in copperplate italic, and inch-and-foot scale bars, useful as sources of fine hairline geometry, technical lettering and measured-drawing furniture.
