Light and lighting

Illuminating Engineering Society, Association of Public Lighting Engineers (Great Britain) · 1908 · [London] · 262 pictures

A technical journal on illumination issued in London from 1908 by the Illuminating Engineering Society and the Association of Public Lighting Engineers, written for lighting engineers, architects and shopkeepers. Coarse halftone photographs record gas and electric fittings in stairwells, arched corridors and lit shop windows, often paired as before-and-after demonstrations, alongside lamp diagrams and photometric charts useful for grainy interior atmosphere and early display-lighting reference.
