Lincolniana book plates and collections
A small 1913 collector's survey of Abraham Lincoln bookplates, edited by Alfred Fowler and published in Kansas City for bibliophiles and Lincoln collectors. The plates reproduce engraved and wood-cut Lincoln portraits set in scrolled acanthus cartouches with ribbon nameplates, ruled ovals and shelved books, giving designers ready-made frame borders, banner labels and hatched portrait heads.
