Lincolniana book plates and collections
A short 1913 collector's monograph edited by Alfred Fowler and printed by H. A. Fowler in Kansas City, cataloguing American bookplates made for private Lincoln collections and aimed at bookplate and Lincolniana collectors. The plates are wood-engraved and etched ex libris designs in dense black line: oval Lincoln portraits ringed by acanthus scrolls, oak and laurel leaves, stacked books and banner panels lettered with owners' names, useful as ready-made frames, cartouches and nameplate blanks.
