Letters from Italy on church art, written by the Polish priest and art writer Antoni Brykczyński and printed in Warsaw in 1899 for Polish clergy and builders concerned with church architecture and decoration. The plates are coarse-screened halftones of Italian church fronts, arcaded palaces and open piazzas, with heavy grain and flattened grey tones that suit textured backgrounds, silhouetted facade outlines and studies of Gothic gable and arcade geometry.
