A foreword about the rare artistic properties collected by the connoisseur Raoul Tolentino [electronic resource]

Ricci, Seymour de, 1881-1942, Tolentino, Raoul, -1928, American Art Association · 1920 · New York : American Art Association · 10 pictures

An auction-house foreword by Seymour de Ricci for the American Art Association's 1920 New York sale of Raoul Tolentino's collection, addressed to dealers and collectors of Italian Renaissance objects. The halftone plates photograph single works against plain grounds — carved marble and terracotta Madonna-and-Child reliefs, painted panels, and the pilastered, dentilled tabernacle frames that hold them — useful for frame profiles, cornice and pilaster ornament, and sculptural relief silhouettes.
