Livrets des salons de Lille (1773-1788), précédés d'une introduction et suivis d'une table de noms
A scholarly reprint of the exhibition booklets of the Lille salons of 1773-1788, compiled with an introduction and index of artists' names by the Académie de Lille and issued in Paris by J. Baur in 1882 for art historians and collectors. The illustrations are a repeated typographic headpiece: a mural crown over a hatched scrolled bracket flanked by palm fronds, with a fleur-de-lis pendant and drooping flower swags, useful as a symmetrical line ornament, divider, or crest motif.
