L'électricité a la portée de tout le monde
A French popular handbook on electricity by Georges Claude, published by Dunod in Paris in 1906 to explain currents, induction, radium and X-rays to readers without technical training. The 146 figures are hatched line engravings of apparatus wired into circuits — helical coils, battery stacks, electrolytic jars, terminals and switches — each part tagged with an italic letter, giving designers isolated technical objects and schematic line work that reads clearly at small sizes.
