The Locomotive Laboratory
A 1915 technical report from the University of Illinois describing the equipment and construction of its locomotive testing laboratory, written for engineering faculty, students, and railway mechanical departments. Halftone photographs of exhaust piping, gantries, and tiled plant interiors sit beside line-drawn plans, sections, and elevations of stacks, separators, coal rooms, and drains — useful for industrial diagram line work, sectional cutaways, and labelled mechanical layouts.
