Locomotive testing plant at Altoona, Penna
A technical report issued in 1910 by the Pennsylvania Railroad's Test Department at Altoona, documenting its locomotive testing plant for railway engineers and mechanical staff. The plates are folded drafting sheets on aged paper: sectioned boilers, valve gear and axle assemblies, plan and elevation views ruled with dimension lines, centrelines and small blocks of specification lettering.
