L'or potable, qui guarit de tous maux
A 1660 French alchemical tract by Gabriel de Castaigne, printed in Paris by I. Dehoury, promoting potable gold as a universal cure for readers of medical and hermetic literature. The scanned pages here are all decorated endpapers: dense brown cellular swirls resembling burr wood or marbled paste paper, usable as tileable background texture, aged-paper overlays, or organic pattern fills at several crops and scales.
