Los religiosos en Cataluña durante la primera mitad del siglo 19
A four-volume Catalan church history by the Barcelona priest Cayetano Barraquer y Roviralta, printed by F.J. Altès y Alabart in 1915, recording the monasteries and religious orders of Catalonia before and after the suppressions of the 1830s for local historians and clergy. The plates are halftone reproductions of older engravings and devotional broadsides: baroque altar frames and twisted columns, saints framed by rocaille cartouches, and dense letterpress panels ringed by scrollwork, useful as ready-made borders, frames and ornamental text surrounds.
