L'uvre de J.-F. Forty : époque Louis XVI
A portfolio reprinting the engraved ornament designs of Parisian metalworker and designer Jean-François Forty, issued by Armand Guérinet in Paris around 1900 for architects, silversmiths, and decorators studying Louis XVI style. Plates show candlesticks, urns, and altar vessels in fine line and stipple engraving, plus banded friezes of swags, husk chains, and medallions usable as borders, finials, and repeating panel motifs.
