Lvdovici Demontiosii Gallvs Romae hospes : vbi multa antiquorum monimenta explicantur, pars pristinae formae restituuntur : opus in quinque partes tributum
A Latin treatise by Louis de Montjosieu on Roman and classical antiquities, printed in Rome by Giovanni Osmarino in 1585 for antiquarians and scholars of ancient art. The pictures indexed here are woodcut initial letters: letters set in ruled boxes with scrolling foliage, grotesque masks, putti and satyr figures, plus one letter over a hatched landscape, all usable as drop caps, frame motifs or texture studies.
