A short Russian popular-astronomy book on comets and meteors by V. Lvov, published in 1923 for general readers and students. The plates are coarse halftones printed light-on-dark: comet heads with streaming tails, fanned meteor radiants, and a rayed solar disc, all grainy white marks against flat slate-blue grounds that read well as reversed-out textures, spark motifs, and radiating line bursts.
