Maccabe's art of ventriloquism and vocal illusions
A how-to manual on ventriloquism and vocal illusions by the English performer Frederic Maccabe, issued in New York by R. M. De Witt in 1875 for amateur entertainers and stage hopefuls. The two plates are trade ephemera rather than instruction: a banner-and-sunburst publisher's advertisement reading GET THE BEST!!, and the Library of Congress eagle bookplate dated 1800.
