A Dutch pattern book of garden ornament by G. van Laar, published in Amsterdam in 1802 for owners and builders of large and small pleasure grounds who wanted cheap structures. Hand-coloured engravings show garden pavilions, rustic arches, thatched and tiled roofs, treillage, ruins and hermitages set among loosely drawn trees and turf mounds, useful for period architectural motifs, striped and rusticated wall patterns, and small landscape vignettes.
