The magician's own book, or The whole art of conjuring
A popular manual of parlor conjuring, puzzles and scientific amusements compiled by George Arnold and Frank Cahill and published by Dick & Fitzgerald in New York in 1862 for amateur performers and home entertainers. The wood engravings are small text-block cuts: apparatus cutaways with lettered parts, hand positions gripping cards and coins, geometric puzzle diagrams, and figures mid-trick, all in hard outline and dense hatching.
