A German physics treatise by Hermann Ebert, published in Leipzig in 1905, explaining magnetism, electromagnetism and induction through the concept of lines of force, written for students and technically trained readers. The plates are fine line diagrams on tinted paper: arrowed field lines curving between poles, concentric arcs, ring armatures with radial windings, and radiating fans of straight rays, usable as abstract linear pattern and directional schematic.
