The making of a book
A 1915 promotional account of book manufacturing issued by the Methodist Book Concern in New York, walking customers and trade readers through each stage of printing and binding in its own plants. Duotone and halftone photographs, captioned in script, show rotary presses, banks of Linotype machines, duplex trimmers, gilding tables and workers inspecting and wrapping finished volumes, useful for industrial interiors, period machinery silhouettes and workplace figure groups.
