Kasimir Malewitsch - Die gegenstandslose Welt

Kasimir Malewitsch · 1927 · 9 pictures

Kasimir Malewitsch's Die gegenstandslose Welt, published 1927 in Munich by Albert Langen as volume 11 of the Bauhausbücher, sets out Suprematist theory in German for artists, architects and students in the Bauhaus orbit. Small halftone plates reproduce charcoal Cubist studies, black crosses and tilted bars on bare grounds, numbered figures, and heads built from cylinders — usable as flat geometric marks, axis diagrams and grainy tonal rectangles.
